Joseph E. Winne and Maximilian M. Prusak first began practic­ing together in 1978 at the firm of Goldsworthy, Fifield & Prusak.  In 1980 they formed a law firm called Nicol, Newell, Prusak & Winne, where they were principals until 1983 when they formed a professional corporation called Prusak & Winne, Ltd.  Maximilian M. Prusak retired from the practice of law in 2014.  Shortly after his retirement, the law firm of Prusak, Winne, McKinley & Dunn, Ltd. dissolved.  The new firm of Winne Law Office, LLC was then formed.  The firm offers a full range of legal services to its clients in a courte­ous, competent and cost effective manner.

Joseph E. Winne

Joseph E. Winne received his Bachelor of Arts Degree at St. Ambrose University in 1972.  He continued his education at Hamline University School of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctor Degree with honors in 1976.  Mr. Winne is a member of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel.  He is a member of the Peoria County, Illinois State and American Bar Associations.  He is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Illinois State Bar Association.  Mr. Winne has been active with the Peoria County Bar Association serving a number of terms as a member of its Board of Directors.  He has been a frequent speaker before the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association.  Mr. Winne's primary emphasis is in civil litigation, with specific emphasis in workers’ compensation and employers’ rights and obligations.
